Rise Tampa Police Foundation sponsored this year's festivities at four locations

WHO:   Chief Eric Ward will travel to four locations throughout the city to thank residents and business owners for working with law enforcement to keep Tampa safe.



The Tampa Police Department is inviting the public to attend its annual National Night Out celebration.  This year's festivities will take place on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at four locations throughout the city: 


District One

5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

MacFarlane Park -1700 North Macdill Avenue


District Two

5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Copeland Park11001 North 15th Street 


West Meadows Community Center8401 New Tampa Boulevard


District Three

5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Fair Oaks Park5019 North 34th Street


The goal of National Night Out is to recognize the importance of productive police-community relationships, and the direct role they play in the department's mission to enhance the quality of life for all citizens.


All four National Night Out locations will include free food, entertainment and an opportunity for community members to interact with the resources police officers use to fight crime.  A variety of community organizations will also be on hand to share useful information promoting health and safety.
