Police Searching for North Tampa Armed Robbery Suspects

DATE/TIME: 3/24/2012 at 9:15 p.m.

LOCATION: 22nd Street just South of Fowler Avenue

SUSPECT #1: B/M approximately 18-20 years of age, approx 6'00" tall, slender build, black shirt, khaki long shorts, large diamond type earring in one ear, short beard growth, wearing a white/green/black ball cap with possible sports team logo and red writing on front.

SUSPECT #2: B/M, approx 18-20 years of age, approximately 6'02"-6'04", slender build, wearing long camouflage colored shorts, and a white tank top. This suspect had a bright purple colored baseball type cap tucked in the rear waistband of his pants.(Similar to the Minnesota Vikings purple color)

Tampa Police detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying two men involved in an armed robbery.
Surveillance cameras inside the Gas Quik convenience store, located at 1501 E. Fowler Avenue, captured Suspect #1 withdrawing money with the victim's debit card shortly after the robbery. The video also shows Suspect #2 briefly entering the store, while the other suspect is at the ATM. Both men are seen leaving the store together.

At approximately 9:15 p.m., the suspects were riding their bicycles southbound on 22nd Street when they pulled up alongside the victim who was also riding a bike. Suspect #1 pointed a gun at the victim and demanded money. The victim, in fear for his life, complied with the suspects' demands.
