Tampa Police officers ticketed a driver this morning for hitting a child at a crosswalk. Shortly before 7 a.m., the 12-year-old female was walking to school with a group of friends. The group was crossing 22nd Street at a clearly marked crosswalk at Diana Street. The driver of a 2002 Chrysler was travelling southbound on 22nd Street and failed to stop for the victim who was walking behind the group.
