President of GOYA Foods of Florida to Keynote the 2012 Mayor’s “Latinos Unidos” Luncheon
The City of Tampa Mayor’s Hispanic Advisory Council is pleased to announce its keynote speaker for the 2012 “Latinos Unidos” Luncheon, Mr. Frank Unanue, President of GOYA Foods of Florida. The 2012 luncheon and leadership conference will take place on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the Tampa Convention Center in downtown Tampa.
“We are proud to have Mr. Unanue as GOYA Foods celebrates their 75th anniversary serving our community. Our goal is to raise awareness about Hispanic leaders and ultimately inspire Latino students to achieve their greatest potential and become outstanding citizens that will contribute to the economic growth of our city,” said Maritza Rovira-Forino, council chairperson.
Frank Unanue is responsible for all distribution centers operated by Goya Foods of Florida. He became president of Goya Foods of Florida in 2004, and as of 2009, he also serves as president of Sazon Inc.
Proceeds from this year’s luncheon and conference will go towards funding the City of Tampa Mayor’s Hispanic Advisory Council scholarship endowments at the University of Tampa, Hillsborough Community College, and the University of South Florida.
The Mayor’s “Latinos Unidos” Luncheon will be cablecast live on City of Tampa Television (CTTV). CTTV can be found on Bright House Networks Channel 615 and Channel 15 on Verizon FiOS.
The Latinos Unidos luncheon brings together Tampa Bay area Hispanics in an effort to promote and showcase the cultural and financial influence Latinos have in our communities. The luncheon is preceded by a leadership conference which offers business and community leaders tools and insights for improving management and leadership skills in the workplace.
