Ramp from the Riverwalk to the Platt Street Bridge will be temporarily closed
Beginning December 4, 2018, the ramp from the Riverwalk to the Platt Street Bridge will be temporarily closed. More commonly known as the ramp with the hair-pin turn next to the large staircase below the flag deck of the Tampa Convention Center.
The ramp will be closed until approximately March 4, 2019 for widening. The staircase will remain open.
The alternate route will be around the front of the Convention Center along Franklin Street and left at Channelside Dr. to go underneath Platt Street Bridge.
We apologize for the inconvenience. The new wide ramp will be much more user-friendly for pedestrians and bicyclists.
