It's time for spring training and your child can hone his skills at the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department' s 5th Annual Turn 2 Foundation Baseball Clinic beginning Tuesday, March 13 through Friday, March 16. The clinic will be held at Port Tampa Community Center (4702 W. McCoy Street) from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each day.

The Turn 2 Foundation, Inc was founded by New York Yankee Derek Jeter. This four-day clinic is FREE for boys and girls ages 8 to 13. The clinic will focus on baseball fundamentals, as well as important life skills and lessons, which are acquired from Derek Jeter's book, The Life You Imagine.

Throughout the clinic, participants are led through multiple baseball skill stations by a group of experienced local coaches. Stations will focus on teaching and reinforcing the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, throwing, pitching and base running, as well as highlighting Derek's 10 Life Lessons.

A highlight of the clinic is a visit from special guest speakers who will share their professional and personal experiences with the children.

Advanced registration is required to participate. Please visit the Tampa Parks and Recreation Department website and go to the Online Registration link and search under After School/Camps. A Rec Card is not required to participate.
