Tampa Bay Lighting Player Ryan Malone Arrested for DUI and Possession of Cocaine

Where: S. Rome Ave & W. Platt St

Details: Tampa Police Officer Visser was on patrol when he observed the driver of a 2014 Chevrolet Suburban make a left turn from the center lane at S. Armenia at W. Platt St. The driver then struck a curb at S. Howard Ave & W. Platt Street. Officer Visser conducted a traffic stop and came in contact with the driver. The driver exited from his vehicle and the officer noted an odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from the driver's breath. Officer Visser began to conduct a DUI investigation. The driver refused to take field sobriety tests and he was subsequently arrested for DUI. A search incident to arrest revealed 1.3 grams of cocaine in the drivers right rear pocket. The driver was transported to CBT where he submitted to a breath test. The results were .112 & .116. The driver was charged with DUI and possession of cocaine. The Chevrolet Suburban was police impounded.
