Tampa Bay Lightning General l Manager Steve Yzerman Sees Red!

The American Heart Association's National Wear Red Day is Friday, February 3, 2012. In observance, Tampa Bay Lightning General l Manager Steve Yzerman joins the American Heart Association for a free community event from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help raise awareness of the dangers of heart disease in women. The event will take place in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, located at 600 N. Ashley Drive.

Visitors can have their photograph taken with the Tampa Bay Lighting family as well as have their blood pressure screened and participate in hands-only CPR training and AED demonstrations.

The American Heart Association’s year-long Go Red For Women movement aims to raise awareness among women about heart disease. The community is encouraged to participate in Wear Red Day by wearing a red dress, a red tie, a red shirt or even red lipstick. Photos from the event will be posted at Facebook.com/AHATampaBay.
