On Saturday, November 30th, 2019, the City of Tampa will be celebrating Small Business Saturday with their own event, #ShopSmallTampa in commitment to their Bridges to Business initiative. The City is featuring its certified small businesses and Bridges to Business participants in the #ShopSmallTampa director and social media platforms in order to uplift and strengthen relationships in the community. The directory will be available for shoppers to view from November 25th-November 30th, 2019.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our community,” said Mayor Jane Castor. “That’s why we’re launching a City of Tampa driven effort focused on supporting Small Business Saturday called #ShopSmallTampa. We are committed to our Bridges to Business partnership which is a community driven initiative focused on making the process of doing business with the city more convenient for local business owners. As part of this process, we brought city hall out into the community to look for ways we can make all city programs, assistance, and events more convenient for all to use and enjoy. #ShopSmallTampa is the first of many ways we plan to do so.”
