TAMPA MAN CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE COUNTS OF CHILD PORN

WHAT: Tampa Police detectives armed with a search warrant arrested a Tampa man after finding multiple examples of child pornography on his computer.

WHO: Johnny Giovanni Boromei, 72, of 3410 W. Barcelona St. Unit 2, Tampa

WHERE: The search warrant and arrest were executed at Boromei's residence at 3410 W. Barcelona St. Unit 2, Tampa

DETAILS: Tampa Police detectives conducted an undercover internet investigation and discovered a computer in south Tampa advertising a large amount of known or suspected child pornography available for download. A search warrant was obtained to examine digital items for evidence. Detectives and agents from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement executed the warrant and discovered evidence, including a computer used for downloading and sharing child pornography. Boromei was arrested and charged with 28 counts of possession of child pornography. At the time of this Media Alert, Boromei was being held on $210,000 bond.
