The Tampa Police Department is inviting community members to come together for “Tampa Night Out.”  This yearly celebration, also known as National Night Out, will take place on October 3 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the following four locations:  Bryan Glazer Family JCC, Gwen Miller Community Center, Benito Park, and IKEA.

The police department credits a 57.1% drop in crime over the last 10 years to increased collaboration between officers and residents.  Tampa Night Out is designed to bring police and community members together in a festive atmosphere to celebrate these successes, while promoting the ongoing need for law enforcement support and community building.

Tampa Night Out is free and open to the public.  Refreshments will be provided at all four locations courtesy of Rise Tampa – Our Police Foundation.
