The suspect in the video is believed to be working with another man linked to a string of at least 16 burglaries in the South Tampa area since late March. In most cases the primary target has been jewelry, and several hundred thousand dollars has been stolen.

The video shows the suspects driving up to a residence at 4715 San Jose St W. at about 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, in a dark, newer model Jeep Renegade. One of the suspects rang the doorbell. The other suspect standing in the background fits the description of the well-dressed Hispanic male involved in other area burglaries.

The suspects entered the unoccupied residence and stole jewelry.  While they were in the house, the homeowner arrived and the burglars dropped pillowcases containing personal items and jewelry and fled.

Anyone with information that would help identify and locate the suspects is asked to call Tampa Police at 813-231-6130 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).
