TAMPA POLICE CHARGE SUSPECT WITH 100 COUNTS OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

The Tampa Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit executed a search warrant on April 19, 2017 that resulted in the arrest of Daniel Sutton for possessing hundreds of images of child pornography.
On Feb 20, 2017 the Tampa Police Department received a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Officers assigned to the Tampa Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit executed search warrant on Sutton's home based on credible information obtained through the tip and investigative leads.
Sutton was at home on his computer during the search warrant. He was taken into custody and cooperative with detectives. Officers seized the computer that Sutton was using at the time of the search warrant, and located hundreds of images and videos of child pornography. Sutton was charged with 100 counts of possession of child pornography where the enhancement was triggered due to the amount and content making each count a second degree Felony. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
