Tampa Police Detectives are still searching for the bank robbery suspect who robbed the BB&T Bank on March 13th.

Prior to the March 13th robbery, Danny Ray Madison had been recently released from Federal prison after serving 10 years for bank robbery. In November of 2000 he committed five bank robberies in Downtown Tampa. The first bank he robbed in 2000 was the same bank he robbed March 13th, 2012.  There is a warrant for his arrest.

Tampa Police Officers Searching for Bank Robber

DATE/TIME: March 13, 2012 at 9:04 a.m.

LOCATION: BB&T Bank, 400 North Tampa Street, Tampa

SUSPECT: Danny Ray Madison, W/M, 3/4/65, last known address 4102 West Hillsborough Avenue


Tampa Police detectives are searching for a man who robbed a BB&T Bank early this morning. The suspect entered the bank and stood in line while the teller assisted another customer. After the customer left, the suspect gave the teller a note demanding money. The note also implied that he had a gun. The teller provided the suspect an undetermined amount of cash. He calmly exited the bank on foot. No one was harmed during the robbery.
