At 3:38 a.m., officers arrived at the scene of a single vehicle crash at 46th Street and Lake Avenue. Both of the vehicle's occupants were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Based on the preliminary investigation, detectives believe the vehicle was involved in a 'shots fired' call in the 3700 Block of Lowry Court. At 3:37 a.m., witnesses reported seeing a black Honda Civic fleeing the shooting scene at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control of the Honda Civic and crashed a short distance away. Detectives are still working to identify which occupant was driving the car.
The vehicle involved in both the 'shots fired' call and the crash was reported stolen from the Hollywood Nights club earlier in the morning.
The investigations into the stolen vehicle report, 'shots fired' call and vehicle crash are still on going.
