Tampa Police Detectives Investigating Fatal Shooting

LOCATION:             Tzadik Oaks Apartments, 1278 East 113th Avenue

VICTIM:                   Christopher Keenan Dexter Jr., DOB: 8/3/1991

Tampa Police Homicide detectives are actively working to identify and arrest the suspect(s) involved in a fatal shooting at an apartment complex.  Officers received reports of shots being fired near Tzadik Oaks Apartments on October 29 at 3:24 p.m. They arrived at the scene and discovered Christopher K. Dexter Jr. suffering from upper body trauma.  Tampa Fire Rescue medics also responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition. 

Dexter Jr. succumbed to his injuries on October 30 and the case is now being investigated as a homicide.

Witnesses have come forward to speak with detectives and at this time the shooting does not appear to be random.   Detectives are still working to identify and locate the suspect(s) responsible for the shooting.
