Tampa Police detectives are working to track down the suspect(s) involved in two separate shootings last night. The first incident occurred at 9:19 p.m. at the Best for Less restaurant on North 22nd Street. A male suspect entered the restaurant armed with a gun. While inside, he shot Barnes and grabbed a gold chain off of Goulbourne's neck.

Barnes was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. His condition has been reclassified to stable at this time.

Minutes later, police officers responded to a second shooting near East Linebaugh Avenue and Jasmine Avenue. The victim, Smith, was riding his bike eastbound on Linebaugh when he noticed a vehicle parked along Jasmine Avenue. The victim saw someone approaching him from behind as he rode past the parked vehicle. The unidentified male suspect told him, "give it up" and then fired several shots at the victim. The wounded victim was able to run two blocks to a nearby gas station for help. Smith was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives are working to determine if both incidents involved the same suspect(s).

Anyone with information about either of these armed robberies is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS(8477) or text "CSTB plus your tip" to 274637 (CRIMES). Anonymous tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 in cash.
