Tampa Police Detectives Seeking Robbery Suspect

In the early evening (5:11 p.m.) of August 16th, 2012, an unknown male subject committed an armed robbery of a McDonald's employee, as she was making the night deposit drop at a local bank, located at 2208 Fowler Ave.

Ms. Victoria Kinney (4-3-91)is a cashier at the McDonald's restaurant located at 920 E Fowler ave. Ms. Kinney drove to the Sun Trust Bank at 2208 Fowler ave to make the afternoon money deposit. She pulled up to the bank deposit box and was in the process of making the deposit by pushing in the two bags. The suspect ran around a corner and approached her, grabbing the bags and attempting to take them. Ms. Kinney tried to resist and take the bags back, but the suspect brandished a black semi-automatic type handgun which was wrapped in a pink shirt and verbally threatened her (saying he was going to kill her). The suspect grabbed the money bags and ran off towards N 22nd St. Victim Kinney alerted the bank teller and other witnesses in the area. The suspect ran to a waiting four door silver ford taurus, where he entered the back seat. The vehicle went south on N. 22nd s.t..

The suspect is described as being a white Hispanic male, 22-29 years of age, 5 ft 3 to 5 ft 6 in height,about 175 lbs, with a medium complexion. He had short hair, some facial hair, wearing black clothing and black sunglasses with a silver chain.

Tampa Police detectives are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect or suspect's vehicle. Detectives are asking for information to be passed on to Crime Stoppers or the non-emergency line of the Tampa Police Department at 813-231-6130.
