TAMPA POLICE MAKE ARREST IN SUNDAY MORNING HOMICIDE

DATE/TIME:
The incident occurred at approximately 3:30am on 04/15/18.  The arrest occurred at approximately 8:30am.

LOCATION:
The incident occurred at 1434 Estelle St. E. #A325.  The arrest was made at the same location.  

DEFENDANT:
Waitecia Howard, 26 (DOB: 12/27/91), of 7322 Solano Ct. #103, Tampa

CHARGE:
2nd Degree Murder (Domestic Violence)

VICTIM:
Jayvion Parker, 24 (DOB: 09/11/93), of 7322 Solano Ct. #103, Tampa

DETAILS:
Following a party, an argument broke out between Howard's sister and Parker.  During the course of the argument, Howard decided to intercede and armed herself with a knife.  She subsequently stabbed Parker in the upper body.  Tampa Police and Tampa Fire Rescue were called to the scene and provided medical attention to Parker.  Parker was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries. 

Through their investigation, detectives were able to identify Howard as the suspect and subsequently developed probable cause for her arrest.  Both Howard and Parker are known to each other and reside together in the same household, although they are not in a relationship.
