Tampa Police Officers Conclude Weekend with Three Significant Arrests

TAMPA, FL (September 17, 2018) – Three notorious suspects each responsible for committing crimes ranging from attempted homicide to robbery are now behind bars.  This past weekend, Tampa Police officers responded to a variety of crimes that ultimately led to the arrests of three dangerous suspects.  They include a violent criminal, a prolific robber suspected in more than 20 thefts throughout the state of Florida, and a suspect on a fast food robbery spree.  These arrests will play a significant role in local and statewide investigations, in addition to crime reduction.


Details on each arrest are as follows:    



DATE/TIME:           September 14, 2018 at approximately 11:25 a.m.


ARREST LOCATION:                   6409 North 23rd Street, Tampa


SUSPECT:                Bobby Lee Story, DOB: 10/21/1965, At Large



Tampa Police officers charged Bobby Story with attempted murder for stabbing a 48-year-old man at the Kain Cares Apartments on September 13.  Officers made contact with Story on September 14 while responding to a call regarding a man sleeping inside of an abandoned home near the 6500 block of North 22nd Street.  Story was taken into custody after a foot pursuit.  In addition to facing an attempted murder charge in Tampa, Story also had an active warrant out of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office for aggravated battery.  He is also considered the primary suspect in an Orange County murder investigation.

ARREST LOCATION:                   5701 North 30th Street, Tampa


SUSPECT:                Anthony Fee, DOB: 2/17/1978, 1708 East North Bay Street, Tampa




Tampa Police officers charged Anthony Fee in a string of fast food restaurant robberies.  Fee started his robbery spree shortly after midnight on September 14 when he climbed through the drive-thru window at the McDonald’s on Central Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard.  He implied that he had a gun and demanded money from the register.  Fee committed a second robbery several hours later at the Burger King at 2302 North 21st Street.  Officers captured Fee as he was fleeing the scene of a third robbery at the Kentucky Fried Chicken located at 3202 East Hillsborough Avenue.  Fee was recently released from Florida State Prison on September 13 after serving a two year sentence for burglary.

ARREST LOCATION:                   North 56th Street/East Busch Boulevard, Tampa


SUSPECT:                Rodrick Clark, DOB: 3/20/1973, 10610 North 30th Street, Tampa




Tampa Police officers arrested Rodrick Clark, a prolific suspect responsible for more than 20 robberies throughout the state.  Clark was taken into custody after he robbed the CVS located at 2911 East Fowler Avenue on September 15. Osceola County Sheriff deputies were conducting surveillance on Clark at the time of the robbery and they were able to assist with detaining him.  Detectives from the Tampa Police Department, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, Temple Terrace Police Department, and Ocoee Police Department interviewed Clark on his involvement in similar robberies.  Clark was charged with three CVS robberies that took place in Tampa during the month of September.  Additional charges are pending in this multi-jurisdictional investigation.
