Tampa Police Officers Find the Body of Missing Man in the Hillsborough River

LOCATION: 6300 Block of River Boulevard

DATE: 3/30/11,

Tampa Police Officers searching for Christopher Harrington found his sandal at 6808 South River Boulevard at 9:28a.m. They found his body in the Hillsborough River at 10:05 a.m. Police divers are holding the victim in the water until the Medical Examiner's Office arrives. Chief Jane Castor has just met with the family to inform them of their loss. She is now at the scene and available to speak with the media.

Police Searching for Missing Mentally Challenged Man

DATE: 3/29/11, 1:04p.m.

Location: West Sligh Avenue and North River Boulevard

VICTIM: Christopher Donte Harrington, B/M, DOB: 12/4/72, 3618 Genesee Street, Tampa. He has short cropped hair and a stocky build. Recent photo attached

Details: The missing man was in the backseat of his caregiver's car when the driver stopped to pick Kumquats off a tree at West Sligh Avenue and North River Boulevard. When the caregiver, returned to the car, Christopher was missing. He searched the area without any luck then call 911. The victim is 38-years-old, but has the mental capacity of a two year. He is non verbal and not familiar with the neighborhood where he disappeared. Police are concerned about his safety and well being.
