Tampa Police Officers Investigating Armed Robbery at Convenience Store

DATE/TIME: February 1, 2014 at 12:13 a.m.

LOCATION: Stop N Shop, 412 West Waters Avenue, Tampa

SUSPECT: B/M, 20-30 years of age, last seen dressed in all black clothing and a baseball cap with a "TB" logo on the front. Armed with a small revolver.


Tampa Police officers are working to identify and arrest an armed suspect who robbed a convenience store shortly after midnight on Saturday, February 1. The suspect entered the shop and grabbed a can of Sprite out of a cooler located towards the back of the store. He walked up to the checkout counter, placed the soda on top of the counter and pulled out a revolver from his back pocket. He pointed the gun at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk took out all of the cash in his register and placed it inside of a plastic shopping bag. The suspect grabbed the bag and fled northbound on North Ola Avenue.

The clerk involved in the armed robbery was not injured.
