Tampa Police Officers Searching for Armed Robbery Suspects

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 8/9/2013 at 8:19 a.m.

LOCATION: Walmart parking lot, 8885 North Florida Avenue

SUSPECT #1: B/M, 30-35 years old, 5’8”-5’09,” 130-140 lbs, skinny, dark skinned, unshaven beard, dark shirt with white writing. Armed with a handgun.

SUSPECT VEHICLE: Possibly a 2006 model Ford 500, 4dr, dark pearl blue with tinted windows, chrome around the grill and stock rims.


Tampa Police detectives are actively investigating an armed robbery that took place outside of a Walmart on Florida Avenue. Surveillance video shows the suspects’ vehicle pulling up behind the victim’s car shortly after 8 a.m. on August 9, 2013. The suspects pulled into a parking space next to the victim’s car after watching him for several minutes. The described suspect exited through the passenger side of the vehicle and approached the victim as he sat inside of his car. The male suspect pushed a gun into the victim’s side and said, “give me what you got.” The victim dropped his cell phone on the ground. The suspect picked it up and fled in what detectives believe may be a 2006 model Ford 500.
