Armed Suspect in Hotel Robberies 



DATE/TIME:            November 20, 2017 at approximately 4:30 a.m.        

LOCATION:             Days Inn, 2905 North 50th Street



DATE/TIME:            December 11, 2017 at approximately 3:13 a.m.        

LOCATION:             Quality Inn, 2708 North 50th Street



DATE/TIME:            December 12, 2017 at approximately 3:53 a.m.        

LOCATION:             West Wing Hotel, 2501 East Fowler Avenue




Tampa Police detectives are searching for an armed suspect responsible for three hotel robberies.  The latest armed robbery took place at the West Wing Hotel at 2501 East Fowler on December 12 around 3:53 a.m.  The unidentified suspect walked up to the front desk, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money.  Detectives believe the same male suspect committed similar armed robberies at two hotels along 50th Street.  He robbed the Days Inn on November 20 at approximately 4:30 a.m., and the Quality Inn on December 11 at approximately 3:13 a.m.  The suspect fled on foot carrying a New York Yankees backpack in all three armed robberies.

Anyone with information on the identity and/or whereabouts of this suspect is asked to contact Crime Stopper at 800-873-TIPS.  Anonymous tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $3,000 in cash.
