Shortly after 1:00am, two suspects walked into the CVS on South Howard Avenue and pointed a gun at a customer's chest telling him to leave the store. The customer fled to his car and immediately called 911. His call came in at 1:16 a.m. The suspects then robbed a clerk at gunpoint. When the first responding officers arrived at the scene, one of the suspects was exiting the CVS through the front door. The officers told the suspect to get on the ground, but he did not comply. Both officers fired and the suspect was shot at least once. He then fled on foot for approximately two blocks. Officers took him into custody at Moody Avenue and W. De Leon Street at 1:23 a.m. He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He is listed in stable condition.
