TAMPA POLICE WORKING TO IDENTIFY SHOOTER

Incident Type: Aggravated Battery/Shooting

Suspect Info: Black male, dark complexion, long dreadlocks pulled up, wearing white shirt, pink & white shorts

Victim Info: 31-year old black male

Details: The victim was in front of the Habibi Hookah Lounge when a verbal argument between the victim’s cousin and the unknown suspect escalated to a physical altercation. The victim was attempting to break up the fight when he was shot in the leg. The suspect, described as a black male with long dreadlocks pulled to the top of his head, and wearing a white shirt and pink & white shorts, was last seen heading southbound on foot from the scene of the shooting. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives are working to develop leads in the case. It was reported that neither the victim, nor his cousin, knew the suspect prior to this incident.
