Tampa Solid Waste Department Revises Collection Schedule in Observance of New Year’s Day
In observance of New Year’s Day, City of Tampa offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 1, 2019.
- Commercial and Residential Customers will not receive collection service on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. The revised collection schedule is as follows:
- Residential Customers who normally receive service on Tuesday will not receive garbage, recycling or yard waste service that day. Those customers will receive service on their next scheduled service day. Regular Residential Solid Waste collection service schedules will resume Thursday, January 3, 2019.
- Commercial Customers – for the holiday week, customerswho normally receive service on Tuesday will not receive service that day. Those customers will receive service on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. Collection service will continue to run one day behind through Saturday, January 5, 2019. Regular Commercial Solid Waste collection service schedules will resume Monday, January 7, 2019.
Christmas Tree Collection Service will occur Monday, December 31, 2018 through Friday, January 11, 2019. In order to receive service, residents must remove all decorations and lights, cut tree limbs to four feet lengths, bundle, and place curbside on their regularly scheduled yard waste collection day.
