TampaGov Web Site Technology Changes - August 28th

This notice is archived content and this information may no longer be accurate.
On the morning of August 28, 2014, we will be making a significant change to the underlying technology used to support the TampaGov web site when we implement a new web content management system.

What to expect:
  • Mobile device (smart phones, tablets) users will benefit from a responsive design that displays our web pages in a manner better suited for smaller screens.
  • For the immediate future, you will notice only small changes in the actual look and feel of our web pages. However, this will enable us to be more responsive in ongoing maintenance, future site redesigns and keeping up with technology changes.
  • Most web addresses will change, including all of our online payment services, the Customer Service Center, and Job Applications to name a few. When visiting the new web site, you do not need to be concerned about these changes. However, if you have bookmarked specific pages, we suggest that you update those bookmarks.
Given the size of the TampaGov web site, we expect there to be some rough edges during this major change. Please bear with us as we work to resolve those issues. Your feedback is very important to us and once the change has been implemented, we will post another news item with a link for reporting any problems, questions or feedback.
