Tampa's Downtown on Ice Opens Friday, November 16 at 6 p.m.

Tampa's Downtown on Ice, the Bay area's only real outdoor ice skating rink, opens on Friday, November 16 at 6 p.m. at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, located at 600 N. Ashley Drive. The rink is presented by the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Bring a blanket and a lawn chair on Friday and also enjoy a free movie in the park, Raiders of the Lost Ark, at 7 p.m. Concessions will be available to purchase.

The rink will be open daily through Saturday, January 5, 2013. Skating is $10 for 90 minutes and includes the skates.

Hours of operation are:
Monday - Thursday: 4 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Friday: 4 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Sunday: Noon - 9 p.m.

Holiday hours are:
Closed Thanksgiving - November 22
10 a.m. - 4 p.m., December 24
4 p.m. - 10 p.m., December 25

Tampa's Downtown on Ice will be open extended hours during the Hillsborough County school holidays.
