"TampaStrong" Platoon Head North To Assist In Hurricane Michael Recovery

ATTENDING: Mayor Bob Buckhorn, Chief Brian Dugan, Chief Charlie Vazquez (TIAPD) 
DEPLOYING: Officers from Tampa Police Department, Tampa International Airport Police Department, Plant City Police Department, and University of South Florida Police Department 

DETAILS: Mayor Buckhorn and Chief Dugan will be joined by Chief Vazquez of TIAPD in front of Tampa Police Headquarters to send off police officers in a multi-agency effort to assist the panhandle with Hurricane Michael recovery efforts. Captain Carlos Rodriguez will lead the 20 officers of this "TampaStrong" Platoon as they depart to help our neighbors in the north in dealing with the catastrophic impact of the hurricane.
