Temporary Interruption to Tampa’s Reclaimed Water Service
Tampa, Fla. (June 9, 2015) - City of Tampa reclaimed water system customers will experience a temporary interruption to reclaimed water service starting at 8 a.m., Thursday, June 11, for system maintenance. Service is expected to resume no later than 8 p.m. on the same day.
Reclaimed water customers are advised to make necessary adjustments to their landscape irrigation and other reclaimed water use activities to accommodate the interruption.
Tampa's reclaimed water system distributes highly treated wastewater from the Howard F. Curren Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant on Hooker's Point for irrigation, cooling and industrial use.
Reclaimed water is provided to about 4,900 customers within the City of Tampa water utility service area, including Tampa International Airport and the McKay Bay Refuse-to-Energy Facility.
