Temporary Lane Closure on Bayshore Boulevard to begin February 4, 2019 for Utility Construction
(This is a revision to Traffic Advisories issued on January 8, 2019 and January 24, 2019)
Tampa, FL (February 19, 2019) – A portion of Bayshore Boulevard between S Howard Avenue and W Bay to Bay Boulevard that closed on Monday, February 4, 2019 will be extended. A private contractor will be installing storm drainage improvements in Bayshore Boulevard between Rubideaux Street and W Bay to Bay Boulevard for a residential development on W Barcelona Street.
One (1) southbound lane on Bayshore Boulevard between Rubideaux Street and W Bay to Bay Boulevard closed daily from 9 am to 3 pm beginning on February 4, 2019. One (1) southbound lane of traffic will be maintained on Bayshore Boulevard at all times, with delays.
Sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction. Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.
It is anticipated that all lanes on Bayshore Boulevard will be open by 3 pm on Thursday, February 21, 2019, weather permitting.
The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
