Temporary Lane Closure on Bayshore Boulevard to begin on July 27, 2020 for Driveway/Sidewalk Construction

A portion of Bayshore Boulevard between S Howard Avenue and W Bay to Bay Boulevard will close daily from 9 am to 3 pm beginning on Monday, July 27, 2020. A private contractor will close the outside southbound lane on Bayshore Boulevard between S Carolina Avenue and Rubideaux Street for installation of driveway and sidewalk for construction project at 2919 Bayshore Boulevard.

One (1) southbound lane on Bayshore Boulevard between S Carolina Avenue and Rubideaux Street will close beginning at 9 am on Monday, July 27, 2020.

One (1) southbound lane of traffic will be maintained on Bayshore Boulevard at all times during the construction, with delays.

Sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction. Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.

It is anticipated that all lanes on Bayshore Boulevard will be open by 3 pm on Monday, September 21, 2020, weather permitting.

The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.

 

Southbound motorists can use S MacDill Avenue between W Morrison Avenue and W Bay to Bay Boulevard in lieu of Bayshore Boulevard.
