Temporary Lane Closure on Bayshore Boulevard to begin on November 18, 2019 for Utility Construction

Tampa, FL (November 14, 2019) – A portion of Bayshore Boulevard between S Howard Avenue and W Bay to Bay Boulevard will close daily from 9 am to 3 pm beginning on Monday, November 18, 2019 for utility construction.  A private contractor will close the outside southbound lane on Bayshore Boulevard between S Carolina Avenue and Rubideaux Street for delivery of construction materials for a residential high-rise at 2619 Bayshore Boulevard.

One (1) southbound lane on Bayshore Boulevard between S Carolina Avenue and Rubideaux Street will close beginning at 9 am on November 18, 2019.

One (1) southbound lane of traffic will be maintained on Bayshore Boulevard at all times during construction, with delays.

Sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.

It is anticipated that all lanes on Bayshore Boulevard will be open to traffic by 3 pm on Friday, November 22, 2019, weather permitting.

The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.

 

Southbound motorists can use W Morrison Avenue/S MacDill Avenue between S Howard Avenue and W Bay to Bay Boulevard in lieu of Bayshore Boulevard.
