Temporary Lane Closure on Bayshore Boulevard to begin October 5, 2020 for Building Construction

A portion of Bayshore Boulevard between S Rome Avenue and S Howard Avenue will close beginning at 9 am on October 5, 2020.  A private contractor will close the southbound right turn lane on Bayshore Boulevard between S DeSoto Avenue and S Howard Avenue for delivery and unloading of materials for construction project located at 2103 Bayshore Boulevard.


The southbound right-turn lane on Bayshore Boulevard between S DeSoto Avenue and S Howard Avenue will close beginning at 9 am on October 5, 2020.


Two (2) southbound lanes on Bayshore Boulevard between S DeSoto Avenue and S Howard Avenue will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.


Right turn movements from Bayshore Boulevard onto S Howard Avenue will be maintained at all times during construction from a shortened section of the southbound right-turn lane on Bayshore Boulevard at S Howard Avenue.


Sidewalks in the work area will be closed.  Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times via signage to other sidewalks in the area.


The lane closure will be suspended during the weeks of the Gasparilla Parades and the Superbowl.


All lanes on Bayshore Boulevard between S Rome Avenue and S Howard Avenue will be open by 3 pm on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, weather permitting.


The City of Tampa recommends that motorist use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion. 


Southbound motorists can use S Rome Avenue and W Morrison Avenue between Bayshore Boulevard and S Howard Avenue, in lieu of Bayshore Boulevard.
