Temporary Lane Closure of Beneficial Drive to begin February 6, 2017 for Tampa History Center Construction

02/01/17

A portion of Beneficial Drive from Channelside Drive to the Garrison Cannel will be closed beginning on Monday, February 6, 2017, to unload materials for the Tampa History Center addition.  The work is being completed by Bay Area Building Solutions.  One (1) southbound lane on Beneficial Drive from Channelside Drive to the Garrison Cannel will be closed intermittently on weekdays between 9 am and 4 pm.

In addition to the lane closure on Beneficial Drive, the Riverwalk will also have intermittent closures during the times the contractor is lifting materials over the Riverwalk.  Pedestians on the Riverwalk will be detoured during the times the Riverwalk is closed.

It is anticipated the work will be completed by July 31, 2017, weather permitting.

The City recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
