Temporary Lane Closure of Cass Street beginning July 11, 2017 for Utility Work

A portion of Cass Street between North Boulevard and Howard Avenue will be closed starting on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, for utility work.  A private contractor will be installing a water connection to 1500 Cass Street.

The westbound traffic lane on Cass Street between Oregon Avenue and Rome Avenue will be closed at 9 am on July 11, 2017. Eastbound and westbound traffic will be maintained intermittently in the eastbound traffic lane, with delays. The sidewalk on the north side of Cass Street between Oregon Avenue and Rome Avenue will be closed during this work. It is anticipated that all lanes and the north sidewalk on Cass Street will be open by 4 pm on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, weather permitting.

The sidewalk on the south side of Cass Street between Oregon Avenue and Rome Avenue will be closed at 9 am on Thursday, July 13, 2017 to install the water meter and service to the building. It is anticipated that the south sidewalk on Cass Street will be open by 4 pm on Thursday, July 13, 2017, weather permitting.

Pedestrians will be detoured to available sidewalks with signage.

The City recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
