Temporary Lane Closure on Channelside Drive that began on November 4, 2019 for Sidewalk Construction to be extended

(This is a revision to a Traffic Advisory issued on October 31, 2019)


A portion of Channelside Drive between S Meridian Avenue and Water Street (formerly Old Water Street) will close at 9 am on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 for sidewalk construction.  A private contractor will be repairing ADA rails on the sidewalk on the north side of Channelside Drive in front of the New USF medical building.


One (1) westbound lane on Channelside Drive between S Meridian Avenue and Water Street will close at 9 am on May 20, 2020.


One (1) westbound lane on Channelside Drive between S Meridian Avenue and Water Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.


The sidewalk within the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.


All lanes on Channelside Drive between S Meridian Avenue and Water Street will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Thursday, May 21, 2020, weather permitting
