Temporary Lane Closure of Channelside Drive to begin July 24, 2017 for Roadway and Infrastructure Improvements in front of the Amalie Arena

One lane on the south side of Channelside Drive between Florida Avenue and Nebraska Avenue will close beginning Monday, July 24, 2017 at 9 a.m. for roadway and infrastructure improvements. The lane will reopen to traffic by 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 10, 2017, weather permitting.

 

During the improvements, the Amalie Arena drop-off area on Channelside Drive just east of Morgan Street will remain open for limited use.  Drop-offs on non-event days may occur in the Arena drop-off, but no parking or unattended vehicles will be permitted during construction. On non-event days, patrons that would typically utilize the Arena drop-off to visit the McDonald’s Ticket Office, Tampa Bay Sports Retail Store, Client Services or the Administration office are asked to park in the Brown Lot, while the Arena drop-off is under construction. The Brown Lot is located one block east on Channelside Drive off of Nebraska Avenue.  For drop-off information during events, please visit Amalie Arena.com/downtowndevelopment.

 

Old Water Street from Channelside Drive to Brorein Street remains closed for roadway and infrastructure improvements.  Westbound left turn movement on Channelside Drive at the intersection of Old Water Street is prohibited during construction. Old Water Street between Channelside Drive and Brorein Street will reopen to traffic by 4 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2017, weather permitting.

 

Cumberland Avenue between Nebraska Avenue and Caesar Street and Caesar Street between Channelside Drive and Walton Street will remain closed until Friday, December 29, 2017.
