Temporary Lane Closure on Channelside Drive that began September 21, 2018 for Utility Construction to be Extended
(This is a revision to a Traffic Advisory issued on September 20, 2018)
Tampa, FL (November 19, 2018) – A portion of Channelside Drive between S Jefferson Street and Old Water Street closed daily beginning on Friday, September 21, 2018 for utility construction. The permit for a utility contractor to install underground chiller pipes on Channelside Drive between S Nebraska Avenue and Old Water Street has been extended. One (1) eastbound lane on Channelside Drive between S Jefferson Street and Old Water Street closed daily from 9 am to 3 pm intermittently beginning on September 21, 2018.
One (1) lane of eastbound traffic will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.
Sidewalks within the work areas are closed during construction during the initial and final portions of the work. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times via a pedestrian bridge or via signage to other sidewalks in the area.
All lanes on Channelside Drive will be open by 3 pm on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, weather permitting.
The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
