Temporary Lane Closure on Cypress Street May 4, 2017 for Driveway Apron Construction (this is a 1 day closure)

A portion of Cypress Street between Lincoln Avenue and Bradford Avenue will close on Thursday, May 4, 2017 to install a concrete driveway apron within the City Right of Way at 3226 Cypress Street.  This work is being completed by Ron Alderman Construction.  

The eastbound lane on Cypress Street between Lincoln Avenue and Bradford Avenue will be closed beginning at 9 am on Thursday, May 4, 2017 and will reopen by 4 pm on Thursday, May 4, 2017, weather permitting.

Eastbound and westbound traffic will be maintained with delays.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid congestion on Cypress Avenue.  Motorists traveling east on Cypress Street toward Macdill Avenue can use Dale Mabry Highway to Kennedy Boulevard to Macdill Avenue. Motorists traveling west on Cypress Street toward Dale Mabry Highway can use Macdill Avenue to Kennedy Boulevard to Dale Mabry Highway.

Eastbound pedestrians on Cypress Street will be directed south on Himes Avenue to Lemon Street, then east to Matanzas Avenue and north to Cypress Street. Westbound pedestrians on Cypress Street will be directed south on Matanzas Avenue to Lemon Street, then west to Himes Avenue and north back to Cypress Street.
