Temporary Lane Closure of E Cass Street to begin September 10, 2018 for Utility Construction

A portion of E Cass Street between N Tampa Street and N Franklin Street will close daily beginning Monday, September 10, 2018 for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be installing utilities on the south side of E Cass Street between N Tampa Street and N Franklin Street. One (1) eastbound lane on E Cass Street between N Tampa Street and N Franklin Street will be closed from 9 am to 4 pm beginning September 10, 2018. 

One (1) eastbound lane on E Cass Street between N Tampa Street and N Franklin Street will be maintained during the construction.

All lanes on E Cass Street will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, September 14, 2018, weather permitting. 

The cycle track on E Cass Street between N Ashley Street and N Franklin Street will be closed during construction.  Cyclists will be detoured via signage, during construction.

The sidewalk on the south side of E Cass Street between N Tampa Street and N Franklin Street will also be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area, during construction.   

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid congestion.
