Temporary Lane Closure E Columbus Drive to begin October 5, 2020 for Utility Construction

A portion of E Columbus Drive between I4 E-50th Street/Columbus Ramp and N 50th Street will close daily beginning at 9 am on Monday, October 5, 2020  for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be installing communication cable on the south side of E Columbus Drive.  One (1) eastbound lane on E Columbus Drive between I4 E-50th Street/Columbus Ramp and N 50th Street will close beginning at 9 am on October 5, 2020. 


Three (3) eastbound lanes on E Columbus Drive between I4 E-50th Street/Columbus Ramp and N 50th Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.


It is anticipated that all lanes on E Columbus Drive between I4 E-50th Street/Columbus Ramp and N 50th Street will be open by 4 pm on Friday, October 23, 2020, weather permitting.


The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion. Eastbound motorists can use E 7th Avenue/E Broadway Avenue between N 39th Street and N 50th Street, in lieu of E Columbus Drive.
