Temporary Lane Closure on E Hanna Avenue to begin June 4, 2019 for Utility Construction

A portion of E Hanna Avenue between N Central Avenue and N Nebraska Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be capping off an existing gas main on the south side of E Hanna Avenue between N Central Avenue and N Nebraska Avenue. The eastbound lane on E Hanna Avenue between N Central Avenue and N Nebraska Avenue will close at 9 am beginning on June 4, 2019.

Eastbound and westbound traffic will be maintained intermittently on the north side of E Hanna Avenue between N Central Avenue and N Nebraska Avenue at all times during construction, with delays.

All lanes on E Hanna Avenue between N Central Avenue and N Nebraska Avenue will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, June 7, 2019, weather permitting.

The sidewalk on the south side of E Hanna Avenue between N Central Avenue and N Nebraska Avenue will be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area during construction. 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.  Eastbound and Westbound motorists can use E Hillsborough Avenue or E Sligh Avenue between N Central Avenue and N Nebraska Avenue in lieu of E Hanna Avenue.
