Temporary Lane Closure E Madison Street to begin March 30, 2019 for Building Maintenance

A portion of E Madison Street between N Franklin Street and N Tampa Street will close  on two (2) Saturdays beginning on Saturday, March 30, 2019 for building maintenance.  A private contractor will stage a crane on E Madison Street between N Franklin Street and N Tampa Street to replace rooftop mechanical equipment at 210 E Madison Street.  This work will be completed in two (2) phases.

The westbound lane on E Madison Street between N Franklin Street and N Tampa Street will be close at 5 am on March 30, 2019 and will reopen to traffic by 4 pm, weather permitting.

The westbound lane on E Madison Street between N Franklin Street and N Tampa Street is scheduled to be closed again from 6 am to 6 pm on Saturday, April 20, 2019, weather permitting.

 

The sidewalk within the construction area will be closed.  Pedestrian access will be available on the south side of E Madison Street between N Franklin Street and N Tampa Street, at all times during the construction.

All lanes on E Madison Street between N Franklin Street and N Tampa Street will be open to traffic by 6 pm on Saturday, April 20, 2019, weather permitting.

The City recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
