Temporary Lane Closure on E Osborne Avenue to begin February 10, 2020 for Utility Construction

A portion of E Osborne Avenue between N 22nd Street and N Nebraska Avenue will close at 9 am beginning on Monday, February 10, 2020 for utility construction.  A TECO contractor will be installing electric conduit, pole, and streetlights on the north side of E Osborne Avenue between N 16th Street and N Nebraska Avenue as part of the City of Tampa Bright Light Safe Night program.

The westbound lane of E Osborne Avenue between N 16th Street and N Nebraska Avenue will close beginning at 9 am on February 10, 2020.

Westbound and eastbound traffic will be intermittently maintained on the south side of E Osborne Avenue between N 16th Street and N Nebraska Avenue at all times during construction, with delays.

Sidewalks in the work area will be closed.  Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times via signage to other sidewalks in the area.

All lanes on E Osborne Avenue between N 16th Street and N Nebraska Avenue will be open by 4 pm on Friday, May 8, 2020, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorist use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.  Westbound and eastbound motorists can use E Hillsborough Avenue or E Dr Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard between N 22nd Street and N Nebraska Avenue in lieu of E Osborne Avenue.
