Temporary Lane Closure on E Tyler Street to begin June 25, 2020 for Utility Construction

A portion of E Tyler Street between N Franklin Street and N Florida Avenue will close nightly between 10 pm and 5 am beginning on Thursday, June 25, 2020 for utility construction.  A contractor will be installing new fiber service on E Tyler Street between N Franklin Street and N Florida Avenue.


The eastbound lane on E Tyler Street between N Franklin Street and N Florida Avenue and the westbound left turn lane on E Tyler Street at the intersection of N Franklin Street will close at 10 pm on June 25, 2020.


The westbound lane on E Tyler Street between N Florida Avenue and N Franklin Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays. 


The sidewalk within the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area, during construction.


All lanes on E Tyler Street between N Franklin Street and N Florida Avenue will reopen to traffic by 5 am on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, weather permitting.


The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
