Temporary Lane Closure on Gandy Boulevard to begin June 12, 2017 for Milling and Pavement Overlay

A portion of Gandy Boulevard from Himes Avenue to MacDill Avenue will be closed on Monday, June 12, 2017 and on Thursday, June 15, 2017, as part of a Capital Improvement Project.  As part of the final phase of the Water Main construction, the City contractor, Dallas 1, will mill and overlay one (1) lane on Gandy Boulevard from Himes Avenue to MacDill Avenue. 

The eastbound curb lane on Gandy Blvd will close at 9 am on Monday, June 12, 2017 for the milling operation.  It is anticipated that the milling operation on Gandy Boulevard will be completed by 1 pm on Monday, June 12, 2017, weather permitting. All lanes on Gandy Boulevard will reopen at that time.

The eastbound curb lane on Gandy Blvd will close at 9 am on Thursday, June 15, 2017 for the pavement overlay operation.  It is anticipated that the pavement overlay operation on Gandy Boulevard will be completed by 3 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2017, weather permitting. All lanes on Gandy Boulevard will reopen at that time.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
