Temporary Lane Closure on Henderson Boulevard to begin January 13, 2020 for Utility Construction

A portion of Henderson Boulevard between W Bay to Bay Boulevard and S Manhattan Avenue will be closed beginning on Monday, January 13, 2020 for utility construction.  A City contractor will be uncovering a buried manhole on in the northbound lane on Henderson Boulevard at the southwestern corner of the Henderson Boulevard/S Manhattan Avenue intersection to finalize the bypass pumping installation. 

 

The northbound right turn lane on Henderson Boulevard between S Toronto Avenue and S Manhattan Avenue will close at 9:00 am beginning on Monday, January 13, 2020.

 

All northbound traffic will be directed to the two (2) left turn lanes on Henderson Boulevard at the S Manhattan Avenue intersection with right turn movements still allowed at the intersection at all times during construction.

 

The sidewalk within the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks with signage.

 

All lanes on Henderson Boulevard will be open by 4:00 pm on Friday, January 17, 2020, weather permitting.

 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorist use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion. 

 

Northbound motorists can use S Manhattan Avenue between W Bay to Bay Boulevard and the Henderson Boulevard/S Manhattan Avenue intersection in lieu Henderson Boulevard.
