Temporary Lane Closure on Howard Avenue and on Bayshore Boulevard to begin May 8, 2017 for Utility Construction

Tampa, FL (May 8, 2017) – A portion of Howard Avenue between Bayshore Boulevard and Morrison Avenue will close on Monday, May 8, 2017, for utility construction.  Howard Avenue between Bayshore Boulevard and Morrison Avenue will close at 9 am Monday, May 8, 2017, as the City contractor replaces three (3) water valves on Howard Avenue.  The work is being completed by Dallas 1 Construction.

There will be temporary lane closures on Bayshore Boulevard due to the construction.  One (1) southbound through lane and the right turn lane on Bayhore Boulevard between De Soto Avenue and Howard Avenue will close at 9 am on May 8, 2017.  The northbound left turn lane on Bayshore Boulevard between Ardson Place and Howard Avenue will close at 9 am on May 8, 2017.  It is anticipated that all lanes on Howard Avenue and on Bayshore Boulevard will be reopen to traffic by 4 pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, weather permitting.

The City recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
